Patient Notice August 2019

 

 

Accessing routine appointments with our GPs within a reasonable timeframe is not possible.

 

 

This situation is not tenable for our 15,600 patients and therefore action has been taken by the GP Partners to ensure that our patients are able to access healthcare for both urgent and routine conditions.

 

All requests to see a GP will be managed by clinical triage.  Priority will be given to clinical need.

 

A Clinician will manage a GP appointments through Telephone Triage.

 

Appointments with the Nursing Team can be booked in the usual way.

 

We are not able to offer on-line booking.

Urgent or Routine care with a GP

 

Telephone

 

·      Before 12noon - We can add you to the list to be triaged by a clinician.  Alternatively, you can ring back on a day that is convenient and you will be added to the triage list.

 

 

 

In order that the Clinician who will be calling you back can prioritize the calls you will be asked to provide some information as to why you need to see the GP.

 

 

 

·      After 12noon – If you believe your condition is urgent/medical emergency and cannot wait until the following day you can be added to the triage list and the Clinician will determine a suitable course of action. 

 

 

 

There will be no on-line booking available.

 

 

 

Please note appointments for the nursing team and other healthcare professionals can be booked in the usual way.
