June 2020 Update on COVID-19
Posted on 17 Jun 2020
The Practice is continuing to work in line with Welsh Government recommendations during this pandemic and wish to once again thank the practice community for its support.
Brecon and Sennybridge Surgeries
Working practices for both Brecon & Sennybridge continue as reported in our update on the 26th May. However we are experiencing an increased requirement to see patients face to face and continue to manage this within current social distancing measures.
Remote consultations by telephone or video are undertaken if and when appropriate and continue to be the “new normal”.
Sennybridge Health Centre remains temporarily closed due and this situation is regularly reviewed by the doctors. We can confirm work is being investigated to adapt the premise to meet access and social distancing measures within the Government recommendations prior to re-opening.
Prescription collection and requests
The practice is setting up a text message system to inform patients when their medication is ready for collection and we ask that patients who receive medication dispensed by the practice to keep us informed of up to date contact details and mobile numbers.
In line with government recommendations and in support of social distancing, medication continues to be delivered through a window at Brecon surgery main building and we thank you for your understanding and patience with this change.
The practice continues to work with volunteer groups to support and assist patients who are unable to attend collect medication. We are very grateful to them and contact details for various groups can be found in a separate notice on this website for PAVO, Accessibility Powys, Yscir Ward.
We continue to review longer term plans in accordance with guidance from government and health departments and will keep community update in due course of changes.
