Notice for Patients

 

 As a result, of the impact of the Coronavirus it is necessary for us to make some difficult decisions regarding the services that we can safely continue to provide. 

 

It is with regret that we are no longer able to provide GP services which include our Dispensing services from Sennybridge as we will be closing the premise Today – Tuesday 24th March from 12:30 pm.

 

   

All dispensing for both Brecon & Sennybridge patients will be from our main Brecon site. 

 

We are not able to say at this time how long this will go on for. 

 

 Contacting the practice

 

o   Accessing a GP

 

§  Patients must telephone the practice. 

 

§  All calls will continue to be triaged

 

§  Patients will be called back by a GP or another Clinician with advice or directions.

 

§  Patients who the GP needs to see will be given an appointment slot and directions to follow by the clinician.

 

§  These patients will be seen in a separate area to the main surgery

 

o   Accessing a Nurse

 

§  Patients must telephone the practice. 

 

§  All calls will continue to be triaged

 

§  Patients will be called back by a GP or another Clinician with advice or directions.

 

§  Patients requiring Urgent bloods including INR services will be given an agreed appointment.

 

§  Patients will be seen in a dedicated Nurses room in the main surgery.

 

§  If patients have not received a call from the Nursing Team these appointments will continue to go ahead.

 

o   Collection of Dispensed Medication

 

§  Will be from the Brecon site only between the hours of:

 

·        8:30 and 6:00 pm

 

§  There will be signage to direct patients to the collection point as the main doors will be closed.

 

Anyone presenting at the premise who does not have an appointment or is not collecting dispensed items will not be able to enter the building.

 

They will be permitted to use the door bell and if it is necessary for them to enter the building they will be screened.

 

Collection of dispensed medication will be via a separate window and via a door bell operation.

 

In order to maintain supplies of drugs for everyone we can issue one months supply only.  

 

In order to maintain social distancing you are urged to order your prescription:

 

 ·        On-line. We have 2 options:

 

o   our practice web site www.breconmedicalgroup.co.uk

 

o   Via My Health On Line

 

·        Use our repeat dispensing service at point of collection;

 

o   We will complete a re-order slip on your behalf for the same items you have collected and raise a script and dispense these items the following month. A date of collection will be stapled to your bag with your dispensed items confirming your next collection date.

 

If a family member or neighbour are collecting on your behalf please ensure that they are able to provide your full name and address.
