This year’s flu campaign is nearly upon us and we are asking patients who meet the eligibility criteria listed below book a flu vaccination.
The practice has appointments available from 11th October 2022.
Eligible patients are asked to book an appointment with the practice team or via our website www.breconmedicalgroup.co.uk.
Please see below for confirmation of eligibility:
- All patients aged 65 and over
- Chronic heart disease, kidney or liver disease
- Diabetes
- COPD/Asthma
- Obesity (BMI 40+)
- Chronic neurological condition (i.e. stroke)
- Lowered immunity due to disease such as cancer or treatment with steroid/immune suppressing medication
- Frontline healthcare workers & carers
- Children aged 2 to 17 with long term health conditions
Childrens fluenz vaccinations clinics will be made available and parents/guardians will be contacted via telephone or text to book an appointment Eligibility – Children aged 2 & 3. (date of birth after 1st September 2018 and before 31st August 2020).
